Piraeus - Sifnos (Kamares)

Sifnos belongs to the complex of the Western Cyclades and during the summer, it is connected daily to the port of Piraeus. The trip from Piraeus to Sifnos lasts 3-6 hours depending on the type of boat that you will choose (high-speed or normal ferry).

Your first stop on Sifnos is Kamares, the island's port.

Kamares - Platis Gialos (Sifnos Hotel Benaki)

Benaki Hotel is situated at the village Platis Gialos on the south-eastern side of Sifnos. It is built at an ideal location only 30m. from the homonymous beach, offering calm and relaxing moments as well as easy access to the sea.

How to get to Platis Gialos

By bus:

The bus stop of Kamares is located 70m. from the mole, just in front of Sifnos' port authority building.

By taxi:

The taxi stand is at the entrance of the mole. There are 10 taxis on Sifnos, and it is recommended that you should make an appointment so that you won't have to wait. Our hotel's personnel will help you book a taxi, if you need to.

By your own vehicle.

1st way, via the ring road (recommended): At the mole's exit in Kamares, turn left and follow the central road that leads to Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos. In about 5 km., just before entering into Apollonia, turn right on the ring road and follow the road signs to Platis Gialos.

2nd way, via Apollonia: At the mole's exit in Kamares, turn left and follow the central road that leads to Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos. In about 5,5 km, and after having passed through the village, turn right and follow the road signs to Platis Gialos.

When you get to the coast road of Platis Gialos, in about the middle of the way, on your right you will find Benaki hotel.
